The 74�25�gives you two 4-input NOR gates with enable-input. A NOR gate is a logic gate that outputs 1 (HIGH) if all of its inputs are 0 (LOW). The enable input lets you turn the gate off. If you set the enable input HIGH, the output will become LOW, no matter what the other inputs to the NOR gate are.
